Our Story
At Riverside Eye Specialists, our history is deeply rooted in the community we serve. Founded in 1902, our practice has been a cornerstone of eye care in Riverside, California, for over 120 years. Our story begins with Dr. John Miller, who hired Dr. Glendrange, an ophthalmologist, to join his practice. Dr. Miller's family of physicians dates back to the 1800s, with his great-great uncle, Dr. James Gordon Baird, being the first in the long line of related Riverside physicians.
Our Founders' Legacy
Dr. Baird's legacy continued with his nephew, Dr. Arthur W. Walker, who established the first Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) practice in the Inland Empire in 1903. Dr. Walker's nephews, Dr. Erwin P. Miller and Dr. Arthur W. Miller, followed in his footsteps, completing their training in Vienna, Austria. The three EENT specialists joined forces to build a state-of-the-art office in Riverside, providing advanced medical care to the community.
