History

MEA Medical Clinics was founded in 1979 by a group of physicians who recognized a gap in healthcare access within their community. They understood that patients often experience urgent medical needs outside the traditional 9-to-5 clinic hours. Driven by a vision of compassionate and convenient care, the first MEA Medical Clinic opened its doors in Pearl, Mississippi, offering extended hours, including Saturdays, and eliminating the need for appointments. This new approach to healthcare quickly resonated with the community, setting the stage for MEA's remarkable growth.

Today, MEA has expanded to fifteen clinics strategically located throughout Central Mississippi, in cities such as Brandon, Byram, Canton, Clinton, Flowood, Flora, Laurel, Madison, North Jackson, Pearl, Richland, Ridgeland, Vicksburg, and Yazoo City. This expansive network ensures that quality healthcare is readily accessible to a wide range of patients, regardless of their location or schedule.

Beyond its commitment to convenient hours, MEA also offers on-site drug testing services at corporate facilities and participates in drug testing at all of its clinics. Recognizing the importance of overall employee well-being, MEA established MEA Cares, an Employee Assistance Program designed to provide comprehensive support to employees and their families facing personal or work-related challenges.
