Welcome to Dixie Eyecare & Contact Lens Center, your trusted provider of eyecare and contact lenses in St. George, UT. Since our humble beginnings in 1973, we have grown to become one of Southern Utah's most respected eye clinics, offering exceptional service, state-of-the-art technology, and a wide selection of glasses brands and styles for every occasion, age, and preference.

Our practice was started by Dr. Jerry Keyes, who was later succeeded by Dr. Brent Croft in 1999. Dr. Brent Croft was joined by his brother, Dr. Michael Croft, in 2003, and in 2006, we moved to our current location on Tabernacle Street. In 2021, we were joined by Dr. Jason Foote, one of only two residency-trained optometrists in St. George. Each of our eye doctors is highly qualified and trained to treat a variety of eye diseases, as well as prescribe glasses and contact lenses.

At Dixie Eyecare & Contact Lens Center, we are passionate about providing exceptional service to each patient. We take pride in our friendly and competent staff, and treat each patient like family. We also partner with numerous phenomenal surgeons in Southern Utah, including cataract and LASIK surgeons, retinal surgeons, corneal surgeons, pediatric surgeons, and oculoplastic surgeons. We accept most major insurance carriers and are committed to providing the best possible vision for life.

Our Services

At Dixie Eyecare & Contact Lens Center, we offer a wide range of eye care services, including:

  • Comprehensive Eye Exams: We recommend coming in for your comprehensive eye exam annually. Comprehensive eye exams not only assess vision, but also include a thorough evaluation of the health of the eyes and surrounding areas by using various tests and procedures.
  • Contact Lens Fitting: Contact lenses are medical devices placed on the surface of the eye. Improper use or fitting can lead to serious damage, including corneal ulcers and scars. With decades of experience, we will find the contact that is right for you. We fit all major brands of contact lenses, including toric, multifocal, rigid gas permeable (RGP), scleral, and hybrid lenses. We fit specialty lenses for patients with keratoconus, pellucid marginal degeneration, severe dry eye, Sjogren's, and patients who have had corneal transplants or have large corneal scars.
  • Diabetic Eye Exam: Damage to blood vessels is common in those with diabetes, especially when blood sugar is poorly controlled. The eyes are the only place in the body that these blood vessels can be visualized without surgery. High blood pressure, in addition to diabetes or in isolation, can also cause blood vessel damage. Both of these conditions can ultimately lead to serious vision loss.
  • Glaucoma: Glaucoma is the leading cause of irreversible blindness in the US and the world. It is asymptomatic until very late in the disease, making regular eye exams crucial for early diagnosis and treatment.
  • Cataracts: A cataract is a clouding of the lens inside the eye normally due to aging.

At Dixie Eyecare & Contact Lens Center, we are dedicated to providing the best possible vision for life. Contact us today to schedule an appointment and experience the difference for yourself.
