The Panton Eye Center is a comprehensive ophthalmology and optometry practice that has been serving patients throughout Elmwood Park, Oak Park, River Forest, and neighboring communities in the Chicagoland area for many years. Our practice offers a wide range of services including medical, surgical, and optical care. Our team is led by board-certified ophthalmologists and includes optometrists, ophthalmic technicians, ophthalmic photographers, and opticians.
Our philosophy of practice is built on two core principles: innovation and compassion. We strive to be at the leading edge of advancements in eye care while ensuring that every patient receives the utmost respect and empathy. This approach has been the cornerstone of our practice since its inception.
Meet the Doctors
Our team of doctors includes Peter Panton, M.D., F.A.C.S., Robert Panton, M.D., F.A.C.S., and Elizabeth Panton-Karkazis, O.D. Each doctor brings a unique set of skills and expertise to the practice, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care.
Peter Panton, M.D., F.A.C.S., attended Brown University and served his internship at the University of Chicago. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and the American Board of Laser Surgery.
Robert Panton, M.D., F.A.C.S., also attended Brown University and completed his fellowship in corneal transplantation and cataract surgery at Johns Hopkins University. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and has served as the President of the Chicago Ophthalmological Society.
Elizabeth Panton-Karkazis, O.D., graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Illinois College of Optometry. She has a particular interest in refractive services and is certified by the American Board of Optometry.
Our Services
We offer a variety of services including cataract surgery, LASIK, and comprehensive eye exams. Our state-of-the-art facilities and advanced technology ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.
Hospital Affiliations
We have affiliations with several hospitals including Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, Rush Oak Park Hospital, and West Suburban Hospital.
Office Hours
Our office hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. We are closed on Sundays.
