Our Story

At Eyeshapes Hoboken, we've had the privilege of serving the Hoboken community for 37 wonderful years. Our journey began in 1986, when Drs. Randy and Beverly Kansky, both natives of nearby Long Island, decided to start their careers in private practices on Long Island and in Middle Village, New York. After graduating from the New England College of Optometry, they returned to Long Island, got married, and started their careers.

In 1986, they moved to Hoboken and revived a small optometry practice that had recently closed. They renamed it Family Eye Care Associates and built a reputation for providing personalized care and friendly service. The practice rapidly grew, and in 1991, they renamed it Eyeshapes Hoboken. In 2015, they moved to their current location at 259 1st Street.
