Our Mission and Story

At the Good Samaritan Health Center, our mission is to spread Christ's love through quality healthcare to those in need. We believe that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare, regardless of their financial situation. Our story began in 1995, when Dr. Bill Warren felt stirrings in his heart to meet the healthcare needs of the City of Atlanta. Starting out of a small church's spare room, Dr. Warren began serving "the least of these" with his greatest passion, healthcare. As people partnered with God in His mission, things began to grow rapidly, and soon outgrew Dr. Warren's capacity.

In 1998, the Good Samaritan Health Center was formed, and it opened its doors for service in 1999 in downtown Atlanta. The center has since moved to an expanded facility on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway in 2009. With a full-time staff of 40 and over 400 volunteers, we provide medical, dental, mental health, specialty, and health education services to individuals and families in Atlanta who cannot otherwise afford it.

Our Services

At the Good Samaritan Health Center, we offer a range of services to meet the needs of our patients. We are a Patient-Centered Medical Home, offering holistic care to our patients. We believe in providing individualized care, taking the time to understand each patient's unique needs and creating personalized treatment plans. Our services include:

• Medical Services: Our medical team provides primary care services, including preventative care, chronic disease management, and acute care.
• Dental Services: Our dental team provides a full range of dental services, including cleanings, fillings, extractions, and more.
• Mental Health Services: Our mental health team provides counseling and therapy services to help patients cope with mental health issues.
• Specialty Services: We also offer specialty services, including orthopedics, endocrinology, and rheumatology.

Volunteer Opportunities

At the Good Samaritan Health Center, we rely heavily on the support of our volunteers. Volunteers like you give our community the gift of their time and talents to make an everlasting impact on those we serve. We offer various volunteer opportunities, including:

• Medical Volunteer: Medical volunteers are essential to the work we do, and we strive to provide the best experience possible for our volunteers. As a result, we limit our volunteers to meet the needs of our patients and ensure our volunteers can be fully supported when they join us.
• Dental Volunteer: Our dental team welcomes experienced Georgia-licensed dental professionals to volunteer with us. We are always in need of experienced dental hygienists, pediatric dentists, endodontists, periodontists, or highly skilled general dentists.
